The SOS emergency wristband is a digital medical ID worn on the wrist. It helps first responders, relatives and medical professionals find important information quickly when the wearer is unable to speak or act.

The individual QR code or integrated NFC chip gives access to shared emergency contacts, health information and personal SOS notes directly in the smartphone browser. No app is required.

NFC chip for added reliability

The integrated NFC chip complements the QR code and improves reliability in everyday use. An NFC-enabled smartphone can open the digital SOS page by being held near the wristband.

The position of the NFC antenna varies by smartphone. Slowly move the back of the device close to the metal clip until the link appears. NFC must be enabled on the smartphone.

Two access methods

How to use the QR code and NFC

Open the digital SOS page either by scanning the QR code with the smartphone camera or by using the integrated NFC chip. Both methods provide access to the same shared information.

For NFC access, the smartphone must support NFC and have NFC enabled. Because the NFC antenna is located in a different position on each device, slowly move the back of the smartphone along the metal clip until the link appears.

Cleaning and care

When needed, clean the silicone wristband with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents, solvents and prolonged contact with chemicals.

Protect the wristband and the metal clip containing the QR code and NFC chip from cuts, scratches, heavy impacts and strong abrasion. Check the QR code regularly to ensure that it remains easy to scan.

Not suitable for machine washing.

If the QR code becomes damaged or unreadable, your stored information remains available on the Swiss DynaTag platform and can be linked to a replacement product.

What is the SOS emergency wristband with QR code and NFC?

The SOS emergency wristband is a digital medical ID made of durable silicone. It combines an individual QR code with a passive NFC chip.

Scanning the QR code or reading the NFC chip opens your personal DynaTag SOS WebApp directly in the smartphone browser. It can display the emergency contacts, health information and important notes you have chosen to share.

The digital noticeboard enables photos and short messages to be exchanged in real time without requiring the person providing assistance to have a user account.

Which emergency information can be displayed?

You decide which information is visible after access by QR code or NFC. Depending on your settings, the following details can be displayed:

  • Emergency contacts with tap-to-call telephone numbers
  • Personal details and a profile picture
  • Allergies, medication and important health information
  • Medical conditions, vaccinations and medical notes
  • Optional location shared by the person providing assistance
  • Digital noticeboard for exchanging photos and messages
Do helpers need an app or a user account?

No. The QR code can be scanned using the standard camera or QR function on a smartphone. Alternatively, an NFC-enabled smartphone can be held near the wristband.

The DynaTag SOS WebApp opens directly in the browser – without an app installation, registration or login by the person providing assistance. An active internet connection is required.

Is the SOS emergency wristband a GPS tracker?

No. The SOS emergency wristband contains neither GPS nor a battery and does not continuously record its location. There is no permanent tracking.

After opening the SOS page, a person providing assistance can voluntarily share their current location. The location is shared only if they actively use this function and give their explicit consent.

How secure is my personal information?

Data protection and privacy are top priorities at DynaTag. Your information is stored securely on the Swiss DynaTag data platform.

You decide which details are visible after access by QR code or NFC. Information you have not shared remains protected. Your data is neither sold nor analysed for advertising purposes.

Can I update my emergency information later?

Yes. After activation, you can update your emergency contacts, health information, personal details and pictures in your user account at any time. You can access your account from a smartphone, tablet or computer.

The QR code and NFC chip remain unchanged. Once saved, your updates are immediately available through the WebApp.

What happens if the QR code is damaged?

If the QR code is dirty, scratched or no longer readable, an NFC-enabled smartphone can still open the same digital SOS page using the integrated NFC chip.

Your information is stored neither in the QR code nor on the NFC chip. It remains securely stored on the Swiss DynaTag platform. If the wristband is damaged or lost, a replacement product can be linked to your existing SOS page.

Is the silicone wristband water-resistant?

Yes. The silicone wristband is water-resistant and suitable for everyday use, sports and travel. The passive NFC chip contains no battery and does not need to be charged.

Check the QR code regularly to ensure that it remains easy to scan. Avoid strong mechanical stress and harsh cleaning products. The wristband is not suitable for machine washing.

Is there a subscription or any recurring cost?

No. The purchase price includes 5 years of access to the DynaTag platform. There are no monthly charges and no mandatory subscription.

At the end of the included usage period, access can be extended if required by paying a one-time renewal fee.
